Smart PDU Control Panel

MI-8801 USB Display SOC drives Smart PDU front panel LCDs via a single USB connection, displaying total power consumption, three-phase current, and per-channel voltage/current/power/load in real time. Phase C overload at 38A triggers red OVL alert — operators identify risks at a glance during routine rounds.

Six Core Advantages

01

Multi-Phase · Per-Channel · Real-Time

Three-Phase + Multi-Channel Full Real-Time Display

Phase A/B/C currents, plus per-channel voltage (V), current (A), power (W), and load (%) — updated millisecond-by-millisecond via USB on a single screen. Total power (kW) and power factor (PF) displayed simultaneously for complete rack power visibility.

04

Software-Defined UI · OTA Update

Software-Defined UI — OTA Update Anytime

Display layout, channel count, alert color levels, and language interface are fully controlled by host software. When upgrading PDU product lines or adding measurement parameters, simply update host software to update the front panel UI — no hardware firmware re-flashing needed.

02

OVL Alert · Phase Warning · LED Sync

Tiered Overload Alert — OVL Highest Visual Priority

When any channel load exceeds the configured threshold, its cell switches to red flashing border. Phase current overload triggers red phase label animation. External OVL LED indicator flashes at high frequency simultaneously. All alert thresholds are fully defined by host software — no hardware or firmware modification required.

05

In-house Driver · WHQL · Linux

In-House Cross-Platform Driver — Linux & Windows

Racer Tech's in-house driver team supports Windows 10/11 (WHQL), Ubuntu Linux, and Android 9–15. Whether the PDU controller runs Linux embedded or Windows industrial PC, USB Display integration is completed quickly.

⚠ Windows: Silent install via WHQL Windows Update. Linux: Kernel module required. OpenBMC driver porting in planning.

03

Single USB · Replaces 7-Seg Array

Single USB Cable Replaces 7-Segment + Multi-Wire MCU

Traditional Smart PDU front panels use 7-segment LED arrays or dedicated MCUs driving multiple LEDs with complex wiring. MI-8801 carries graphic display output, LED control, button and touch reports over one USB cable — drastically simplifying PCB design and chassis wiring.

TAIWAN OSAT · 0/231 Failed

Third-Party Reliability Certified — Zero Failures

MI-8801 completed packaging reliability qualification at a Taiwan OSAT facility. 231 samples passed MSL3/260°C preconditioning with zero failures in TCT / PCT / HTS — SAT + OS + FT all passed.

Four PDU Application Scenarios

01

Data Center Rack-Mount Smart PDU

Large data centers deploy 1–2 PDUs per rack requiring real-time three-phase balance and per-channel load monitoring. MI-8801 front panel displays total power, three-phase current, and up to 8–16 channel parameters on one screen. Phase C overload red alert lets operators assess risk within 3 seconds — no SNMP backend needed.

03

Edge / Telecom Room PDU Management

Telecom room or edge node PDUs are typically unmanned — the front panel must provide highest visual priority alerts when anomalies occur. MI-8801-driven OVL LED and LCD flash synchronously, ensuring engineers entering the room identify overload locations at any distance immediately.

02

AI GPU Rack High-Density Power Monitoring

High-density GPU racks like H100/GB200 NVL72 consume over 30kW per rack; three-phase balance is critical. MI-8801 visualizes per-phase current trends with gauge + load bar displays. Power factor (PF) shown simultaneously to help engineers assess load redistribution needs in real time.

04

OEM Brand Smart PDU Customization

PDU brand manufacturers can customize front panel display style via Racer Tech UI SDK — brand colors, logo boot animation, custom CH naming, and load alert thresholds. Factory-flashed, every PDU front panel presents consistent brand identity. Supports zh-TW / EN / JA multilingual interface.
